Plugin Settings
This page documents settings available in the WordPress plugin. Access via Deploy Forge → Settings in WordPress admin.
Connection
Connection Status
Shows whether your site is connected to Deploy Forge:
- Connected: Shows your repository and branch
- Not Connected: Click Connect to set up
Connect / Disconnect
- Connect: Redirects you to the Deploy Forge app to configure GitHub, repository, branch, and deployment method
- Disconnect: Removes the connection (you can reconnect anytime)
Note: Disconnecting changes your site's status on the Deploy Forge server and notifies the WordPress plugin. The site record is preserved so you can reconnect later.
Local Options
These settings are stored in WordPress and apply to this site only.
Create Backups
When enabled, creates a local backup of your theme before each deployment.
- Enabled (recommended): Allows rollback to the previous version
- Disabled: No backups, no rollback capability
See Backup & Rollback for details.
Debug Logging
Enable detailed logging for troubleshooting:
- Enabled: Logs deployment steps, API calls, and errors
- Disabled: Minimal logging
View logs in Deploy Forge → Logs in WordPress admin.
Danger Zone
Reset Plugin Data
Deletes all local Deploy Forge data:
- Deployment history
- Backup files
- Plugin settings
- Site connection
Use this to start fresh or before uninstalling.
Warning: This cannot be undone. The site record on the Deploy Forge web app is not deleted — you may want to disconnect the site first so it doesn't count toward your site quota.
